  • OCDEA qualified SAP/EPC assessor

    Jhai Enerji+ team are looking for a new OCDEA qualified SAP/EPC assessor to join the team.

    Based in jhai’s Head office located in West Bay, Bridport, our energy assessment department is expanding and now is the time to join a professional, driven and growing team. We’re looking for a self-motivated SAP assessor to join us to work on a wide variety of projects from single dwellings to developments of 100+ dwellings.

    Our team strive to achieve the highest level of service for its clients and therefore a good understanding of all aspects of SAP Calculations, Water Calculations, Thermal Bridging, Renewable technologies and compliance would be essential to ensure the new assessor will succeed within the role.

    Candidate requirements

    • OCDEA Qualification
    • Analytical and computational skills
    • Self-motivating and eagerness to learn.
    • A strict attention to detail.
    • Excellent inter-personnel communication skills.
    • Good attitude to developing a career in a technical field

    Duties will include:

    • To scale off architectural plans and elevation drawings.
    • Review of technical specifications and manufactures literature for relevant performance data.
    • Use accredited software to generate and issue design stage Building Regulations Part L 2013 compliance documents, Code for Sustainable Homes and SAP worksheets.
    • Provide Energy Performance Certificates once SAP accredited course has been completed.
    • Provide clients with advice on how schemes can comply with Building Regulation Part L and other sustainability requirements.
    • Aid in the development of energy strategies for new developments.
    • On a daily basis deal with client related issues and provide professional services as required.
    • Work closely with Senior Manager on all SAP and energy matters.
    • Report on a daily/weekly basis progress on job related matters.
    • CPD programme for minimum hours as recommended by the NHER.
    • Attend project design team meetings as required.
    • Attend in house group meetings and seminars.
    • Attend one to one reviews at half yearly intervals.

    Although the key aspect of the role is based around having a high technical ability within the energy assessment area, we are also looking for a team member who strives in a positive work environment, has a good sense of humour and enjoys working on ongoing challenges with the team.
